International Airport

The Turks and Caicos Islands host Three (3) International Airports in the Country, one on the Capital Island of Grand Turk, one on the Island of Providenciales and one on South Caicos. All International airports have a full compliment of Immigration and Customs Facilities. With completely new airport Terminals on both Grand Turk and Providenciales, the Government is currently expanding and improving the South Caicos airport, which improvements will include a new air-conditioned Airport Terminal, a widening of the Airport Runway from the existing 90’width to 150’wide and the addition of a airplane turn around at each end of the runway, all to be completed in 4th quarter, 2008.

Travel time is approximately a one hour and 15 minute flight from Miami, Florida. Air service to The Turks and Caicos Islands is now provided by American Airlines from New York or Miami, US Airways from Charlotte, Delta Airlines from Atlanta, Spirit Airlines from Fort Lauderdale, British Airways from London/Heathrow, Bahamas Air from Nassau as well as numerous Charter Flights from various departure Cities, including but not limited to New York, Chicago, Dallas and Canada. Intra-Island flights are currently provided by Sky King, Inter Island Airways and TCNA (Turks and Caicos National Airline) at extremely reasonable rates.
